Advertisings

Today, I was talking to my classmates about the differences between Aussie and Brazilian advertising.

I graduated in Marketing and Advertising in 2004, so I'm an expert at analyzing the real intention of the advertising.
When I see an advertisement on TV, on magazine or on external furniture, I can realize much more things about this than other people.

I have usually analyzed the aim of the advertisement, about the product or service that it deals with, which strategies were used to make it, which context was inserted in it, which target audience was forwarded it and the audience reaction that was expected.

Under my eyes, some Aussie advertisements that I've seen on TV aren't good. I think the local marketing experts think only the obvious, without creative ideas.

Brazilian is very smart people. Actually, every South American is very smart. This is perhaps because of the mixture of cultures that occurred in these countries.
The advertisements of Brazil must be as smart as the Brazilians are. A good advertisement must provoke the target audience into being curious and consequently they can try the product/service/brand that it's advertised.

Many times, the commercial breaks are very boring and in this time the people zap through all of the channels.
If you create interesting advertisings, you can seduce your audience, because good advertisings mean entertainment too. Why not?

For example, the Brazilian company Sao Paulo Alpargatas changed the marketing strategy of their most famous product, Sandalias Havaianas in Brazil.
The company has discovered that Havaianas was too popular and Brazilians use it because it's very cheap. However it isn't fashionable. The advertising didn't help it in this case.

About ten years ago, Sao Paulo Alpargatas started a new marketing strategy, linking Havaianas to famous Brazilians persons. The new communication strategy is young, smart and fast and Sao Paulo Alpargatas has had success with it.

Nowadays, Havaianas is fashionable and it's been in many countries. Havaianas is a good example of a Brazilian brand that has seduced the world.

However, I think Sydney is too cold to use this kind of thongs in the winter.
The Aussies are too crazy!
